On 24th December every year in St Teilo's we host a D.I.Y Crib Service. This is a service in which the story of Christmas is read out, and the congregation sings a hymn as children (such as the disciples) walk up the aisle dressed up in bright and colourful costumes. One person will be Mary, another may be a shepherd, or wise man and so on. We usually even have a real baby!
This year, the Disciples decided to make it a bit different. We made a script (click on the link below for the final copy) and basically showed our audience what Christmas was like around the world. We rehearsed this many times and enjoyed performing it during the service. It was then followed by a few bible readings, we sand "Once in Royal David's City" while Mary and Joseph came up the aisle. Overall it was an enjoyable event an we all loved taking part.
Many thanks,
If you couldn't be there please feel Free to check out the script below. Bye!
